Food

We tend to shop at City Market - there is another local
super market behind Main Street that the kids walk to for
replenishment. Walmart and Safeway are useful in Frisco and
there is Target and lots of Factory Outlets in Dillon.
The French Patisserie at South End of Main Street a short
walk from Powderhorn is a daily trip for us - sometimes just
for fresh baguette for lunch on the slopes (expensive for a
family to dine on the mountain) - often croissants and other
tasty snacks.
The doughnuts shop right at the South End of Main Street
next to SubWay is a favorite with the kids - also great for
breakfast - locals tend to eat there and you can not miss it
because of the queue at the door.
There is a Crepere - outdoor stall in the middle of Main
Street that is great for a snack.
Ice Creams from Cold Stone at Main Street Station -strange
but enjoyable despite the cold!
Our favorite family restaurants are the Breckenridge
Brewery, Eric's, Dillon Brewery, a great pizza restaurants
just off Main Street opposite Erics, Bubba's. Vouchers are
often available for Spencers at Beaver Run.
Breckenridge Dining Guide website includes menus.

Activities

Breckenridge
activities and
Spring Massive.
Winter:
Skiing, snowboarding,
cross-country skiing, snowshoeing,
ice skating, snowmobiling … or go for a sleigh ride.
Sledding –
free
Carter Park (in Breckenridge), pay
Keystone Resort tubing.
Dog sled and Snowmobile
Good Times Adventures - awesome but need to book in advance.
There is plenty of terrain at Breckenridge - but still nice
to visit some of the other resorts which will be available
on your lift ticket. Keystone is most convenient - Vail and
Bevercreek have a different atmosphere to Breck and are nice
day trips. Be careful with the weather crossing the Vale
Pass - the road does get closed and we have been stuck in
Vale in the past.
Summer:
Hiking, biking,
golfing, alpine slide, fly fishing,
rafting, and kayaking.
Anytime:
Breckenridge Recreation Center (gym) - 70,000 sq. ft.
recreation facility. The facility has a free weight room, cardio
area, 2 pools, 2 hot tubs, steam, sauna, gym, indoor track, 2
climbing walls, 2 racquetball courts, aerobics studio, multi
purpose rooms, and locker rooms with showers.
Heading West on the I70 is the Hot Spring Pool at Glenwood
Springs - perhaps too far but great fun.
Breckenridge ice rink is fun and panning for Gold is also
interesting at the Country Boy Mone.
